Legal & Support · Effective July 17, 2026
Karaway, in plain English.
How Karaway works, what we collect (only standard analytics — no name, email, or health data), your rights, and how to reach us. Written by humans, for humans.
Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 17, 2026
At a glance
Here's what you need to know about how Karaway handles your data:
- What we collect: Only standard technical data (cookies, IP address, browser/device info, pages viewed) — same as most websites. We do not ask for your name, email, phone, or any health information, and there is no sign-up form, account, or questionnaire on this site.
- Why we collect it: To understand how visitors use our site and to measure our advertising, so we can make Karaway better.
- Who we share it with: A small set of trusted analytics and advertising providers (Google, Meta) — listed below. We don't sell your data.
- Your choices: You can manage cookies via the banner, and you can ask us about the data we hold at any time. Just email legal@smart-it.io.
1. Who we are
Karaway is operated by Smart IT US Inc., a company incorporated in Wyoming, United States.
Our mailing address is: 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, USA
For any privacy questions, you can always reach us at legal@smart-it.io.
In this Privacy Policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Smart IT US Inc. doing business as Karaway. "You" means anyone who visits karaway.health or interacts with our services.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
We don't collect any personal information you'd type in. This site has no sign-up form, no account, and no questionnaire — we do not ask for your name, email, phone number, mailing address, health information, or payment details. The call-to-action buttons either open a pricing pop-up or link out to an app store; they don't collect information from you.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our site, we automatically collect:
- Device and browser information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, screen size, language
- Usage information: Pages you viewed, links you clicked, time spent on each page, referring website, scroll depth
- Cookie and tracker data: See our Cookie Policy for the full list
We use this technical data to understand how our site performs, to detect fraud and abuse, and to improve the experience.
3. How we use your information
We use the technical and usage data we collect to:
- Run our site — keep it secure, fix bugs, prevent abuse
- Understand our audience — measure how people find us and what they're interested in, in aggregate
- Run experiments — we may test different versions of pages, copy, or features to learn what works best. This may involve showing different content to different visitors
- Show you relevant ads — on platforms like Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and Google. See section 6 on advertising
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Legal basis (for visitors from the EU/UK)
If you're in the EU or UK, we rely on the following legal bases under GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act:
- Your consent — for non-essential cookies and ad targeting (collected via the cookie banner)
- Our legitimate interests — for site analytics, security, fraud prevention, and improving our service
You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing we did beforehand.
5. Payments
Karaway is in pre-launch testing. We do not collect payment information or process payments on karaway.health — there is no checkout, and we never ask for card details. A button may open a pop-up that shows planned pricing, but it does not take payment or collect any information from you.
If you ever see a charge claiming to be from us related to this site, it isn't us — please contact legal@smart-it.io right away.
6. Who we share it with
We share your information with a small set of trusted service providers who help us run our business. Each one is bound by contract to use your data only for the purposes we specify.
| Provider | What they receive | What for |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager) | Usage data, IP, device info | Site analytics and advertising |
| Meta (Facebook, Instagram) | Usage data, IP, device info (via Meta Pixel) | Advertising and audience analysis |
We may also share your information:
- If required by law — for example, in response to a subpoena, court order, or government request
- To protect our rights and safety — to prevent fraud, abuse, or harm to us, our users, or the public
- In connection with a business transfer — if we're acquired, merge with another company, or sell assets, your data may transfer with the business (you'll be notified)
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for money. We do not collect any health information on this site, so none is ever shared.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it:
- Technical and usage data: Up to 26 months (standard analytics retention)
We don't collect contact or health information on this site, so there's nothing else to retain. If you ask us about data we hold, we'll respond within 30 days.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any data that's inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to certain uses (like marketing or analytics)
- Restrict how we use your data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, just email legal@smart-it.io. We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first to protect against fraud.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — see our regional addenda (GDPR, UK DPA, CCPA) for details.
9. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies on karaway.health. The full list — what each cookie does, who sets it, and how long it lasts — is in our Cookie Policy.
You can manage your cookie preferences anytime via the cookie banner on our site, or through your browser settings.
10. Adults only (18+)
Karaway is intended for adults 18 years of age or older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. By using the site, you confirm you are 18 or older.
If you believe someone under 18 has given us their information, please email legal@smart-it.io and we'll delete it.
11. International transfers
We're based in the United States (Wyoming). When you give us your data, it is transferred to and processed in the United States.
Most of our key service providers (Google, Meta) are based in the United States and process data there. Your data may therefore be processed in multiple jurisdictions.
For transfers involving EU or UK residents' data, we rely on appropriate safeguards under EU GDPR and UK GDPR — including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), or each provider's equivalent safeguards. Copies are available on request at legal@smart-it.io.
12. Security
We protect your information with industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit (HTTPS everywhere), encryption at rest where applicable, limited employee access, and regular security reviews of our providers.
No system is 100% secure, but we work to keep yours as safe as reasonably possible.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Effective Date" at the top and, for material changes, post a notice on the site.
The current version is always available at karaway.health/privacy.
14. Contact us
For any privacy questions, requests, or concerns:

This policy is written in plain English. If anything is unclear, please ask us at legal@smart-it.io — we'll explain.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
Effective Date: July 17, 2026
At a glance
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you additional rights about your personal information. Here's what they are and how to use them.
Rights you have
As a California resident, you can:
- Know what categories of personal information we've collected about you, the sources, what we use it for, and who we share it with
- Access the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you (subject to verification)
- Delete personal information we've collected from you (with certain exceptions, such as legal obligations)
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (more below)
- Limit use of sensitive personal information to what's necessary
- Non-discrimination — we can't deny service, charge you more, or give you a worse experience for using these rights
You can also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
Categories of personal information we collect
In the last 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information from California residents:
| Category | Examples | Source | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | IP address, device ID, online identifiers (cookies) | Via cookies and analytics | Analytics and advertising |
| Internet activity | Pages viewed, links clicked, time on site | Via cookies and analytics | Site improvement, advertising |
| Inferences | Interest in GLP-1 / symptom & food tracking based on your behavior | Derived from your activity | Audience research and advertising |
We do not collect your name, email, government identifiers (SSN, driver's license), biometric data, precise geolocation, financial account numbers, or any health information on karaway.health — there is no sign-up form, account, or questionnaire.
Do we "sell" or "share" your information?
Under CCPA, "sale" and "sharing" include sending personal information to third parties for advertising purposes — even if no money changes hands.
Yes — we share your information for advertising purposes, primarily by using cookies from Meta and Google to show you relevant ads and measure their performance. This counts as "sharing" under CCPA.
We do not sell your personal information for money to data brokers.
How to exercise your rights
Opt out of sharing for advertising: Click "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the site footer, or use "Cookie settings" to reject advertising cookies. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the "sale"/"sharing" of your personal information for that browser.
Any other request (access, delete, correct, limit, etc.): Email legal@smart-it.io with the request. Include enough information for us to verify it's you. We'll respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we'll let you know.
Authorized agents: If you're submitting on someone else's behalf, include a signed permission letter or power of attorney.
Sensitive personal information
We do not collect sensitive personal information on karaway.health — there is no questionnaire, and we do not ask for health information, government identifiers, or financial data.
Your general interaction with the site (which pages you visit) could imply an interest in health-related topics; we do not use such inferences for ad targeting or to build health-interest audiences.
Notice at collection
This Addendum, combined with our Privacy Policy, serves as the notice at collection required by CCPA. We provide it before or at the point we collect your information.
GDPR Notice (European Union)
Effective Date: July 17, 2026
At a glance
If you're in the European Economic Area (EEA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you specific rights about your personal data.

You can contact us at legal@smart-it.io or Smart IT US Inc., 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, USA.
We do not currently target Karaway to individuals in the EEA. If our activities change such that an EU representative under Article 27 is required, we will update this notice.
Legal bases for processing
| Processing | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Setting non-essential cookies (analytics, advertising) | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — via cookie banner |
| Running our site, security, fraud prevention | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Analytics in aggregate | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Responding to legal requests | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) |
You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing done before.

To exercise any right, email legal@smart-it.io. We respond within 30 days.
Right to complain
You can lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority. Find yours: edpb.europa.eu/about-edpb/about-edpb/members_en
International transfers
We (the controller) are based in the United States (Wyoming). When you give us your data, it is transferred to and processed in the United States, where most of our service providers are also based.
For transfers from the EEA to the United States, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) with our service providers, plus additional safeguards (encryption, access controls). Copies are available on request.
Special categories of data
We do not collect special category data (including health data) on karaway.health — there is no questionnaire and no form. If that changes, we will obtain explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a), publish a dedicated health-data notice, and put appropriate safeguards (a data processing agreement, SCCs, and where relevant a DPIA under Article 35) in place first.
Your general interaction with the site may reveal interest in health-related topics; we do not use such inferences for advertising.
UK Data Protection Notice
Effective Date: July 17, 2026
If you're in the United Kingdom, your rights are governed by the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK GDPR — these are substantially the same as EU GDPR. The GDPR summary applies, with the following UK-specific points:
- Supervisory authority: The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Complaints: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint
- International transfers from UK: We rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU SCCs.
- Contact us the same way: legal@smart-it.io
We do not collect special category (health) data on karaway.health — there is no questionnaire or form. We do not currently target Karaway to individuals in the UK. If our activities change such that a UK representative under Article 27 is required, we will update this notice.
Terms of Use
Effective Date: July 17, 2026
At a glance
- Karaway is currently in pre-launch testing — the full product isn't live yet, and this site is for information only.
- We don't collect payment information or process payments, and there's no sign-up form — we don't ask for your name or email.
- We may show you different versions of the site (A/B testing) to learn what works best.
- If Karaway discusses health topics, none of it is medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider.
- Disputes are governed by Wyoming law.
If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site. Otherwise, read on.
1. Who these terms apply to
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") apply to anyone who visits karaway.health or interacts with our content. By using the site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
"We," "us," and "our" refer to Smart IT US Inc., a company incorporated in Wyoming, United States. "You" means anyone using the site.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Karaway. By using this site, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, please don't use the site.
2. What Karaway is (right now)
Karaway is an app that helps you track digestive symptoms and identify patterns for your doctor.
We are currently in a pre-launch testing phase. That means:
- The full product is not yet available
- You may see promotional materials, descriptions of features, and pricing — these reflect our plans, not finished software
- We may run user research, surveys, and experiments to learn what to build
If something on this site sounds finished — it's our intent for the product, not necessarily the current state. We'll be clear when Karaway actually launches.
3. No payments during pre-launch
Karaway is in pre-launch testing, and we do not process any payments.
There is no checkout on karaway.health, and we never ask for payment card details. There is also no sign-up form — we do not collect your name or email on this site. A button may open a pop-up showing planned pricing, but it does not take payment.
If your bank or card statement ever shows a charge claiming to be from us related to this site, it isn't us — contact legal@smart-it.io immediately and we'll investigate.
4. A/B testing and experiments
To improve the site, we may run experiments — showing different visitors different versions of pages, copy, prices, designs, or features. This is standard product practice.
You may see content that looks slightly different from what your friend or colleague sees on the same site. None of these variations are designed to deceive you — they're designed to help us learn.
We never use sensitive personal information (such as health conditions) to decide which version to show you.
5. Acceptable use
When using karaway.health, please don't:
- Try to break, hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the site
- Scrape, copy, or systematically harvest data
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the site (other than search engine crawlers)
- Submit false information (including using someone else's name or email)
- Send spam, malware, or anything illegal
- Impersonate anyone, including us
- Use the site to violate anyone's rights — including intellectual property and privacy rights
We may suspend or block access to anyone who violates these rules.
6. Intellectual property
All content on karaway.health — text, design, graphics, logos, code, videos — is owned by Smart IT US Inc. or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws.
You can view the content and share links to public pages. You can't reproduce, modify, or use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
The Karaway name and logo are our trademarks (or pending trademark applications). Please don't use them without permission.
7. Third-party services and links
Our site uses services from third parties (listed in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy): Google and Meta for analytics and ads. Each provider has its own terms and privacy policy that govern your interactions with their services.
We may also link to other websites. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.
8. Disclaimers
The site and any information on it are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, or statutory — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Not medical advice
Karaway relates to digestive symptom and GLP-1 side-effect tracking. Any information on this site — descriptions of symptoms, conditions, medications, or health topics — is for informational purposes only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Never use information from this site to delay, replace, or substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider with any questions about a medical condition. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately — 911 in the U.S., 112 in the EU/UK, or your local equivalent.
See our full Medical Disclaimer for more.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Smart IT US Inc., our officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site — even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim related to the site is limited to $100 or the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months (whichever is greater).
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations on liability — in those places, the above limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it cannot be limited under applicable law — including for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or any mandatory consumer-protection or data-protection rights.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Smart IT US Inc. from any claims, damages, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the site.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including violation of these Terms.
You can stop using the site at any time.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the site will be subject to the state and federal courts located in Wyoming, United States. You and we both agree to submit to the jurisdiction of those courts.
If you're a consumer in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer-protection rights, you may also bring claims in the courts of your country of residence — these Terms don't override those rights.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Effective Date" at the top and, for material changes, post a notice on the site.
Your continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, stop using the site.
The current version is always at karaway.health/terms.
14. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest of the Terms still apply.
15. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the site. They replace any prior agreements.

Medical Disclaimer
Effective Date: July 17, 2026
At a glance
- Karaway is a tracking tool, not a medical device or medical service.
- Nothing on this site or in our product is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Always talk to a qualified healthcare provider about your health. Karaway doesn't replace that conversation — it's designed to help you prepare for it.
- In a medical emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number). Don't use Karaway.
1. What Karaway is
Karaway is an app that helps you track digestive symptoms and identify patterns for your doctor. Our app and this website are designed to help you record what you experience (symptoms, triggers, medications, daily factors), recognize patterns in your own data over time, and prepare for appointments by summarizing what you've recorded.
That's it. We're a memory and pattern-recognition tool for your personal health journey.
2. What Karaway is not
Karaway is not:
- A doctor or healthcare provider
- A diagnostic tool — we don't tell you what condition you have or whether something is wrong
- A medical device that has been cleared or approved by the FDA, EMA, MHRA, or any other regulator
- A substitute for professional medical advice, examination, diagnosis, or treatment
- A platform for handling medical emergencies
We don't make medical decisions for you. We help you organize what you already know about yourself.
3. No medical advice
Any information you see on karaway.health, in our marketing materials, in our app, or in any communication from us — including descriptions of conditions, symptoms, triggers, medications, treatments, or health practices — is for informational and educational purposes only. None of it is medical advice.
- Don't use anything from Karaway to diagnose yourself or someone else
- Don't start, stop, or change any treatment based on what you read here
- Don't delay seeking medical care because of something you saw in our app
- Don't disregard advice from a healthcare provider because of something Karaway suggested
If you have or think you have a medical condition, talk to a qualified healthcare provider.
4. Patterns and "insights" are observations, not conclusions
Karaway may show you correlations or patterns in your data — for example, that symptoms you've logged tend to occur after certain triggers you've recorded. These are observations from your own logs, not medical conclusions. Correlation isn't causation. Your healthcare provider is the right person to interpret what your data means for your health.
This includes any personalized summary or insight Karaway shows you. It simply reflects what you recorded — it is not a diagnosis, not a prediction of future episodes, and not a recommendation to start, stop, or change any treatment, food, or medication. It's a starting point for a conversation with your doctor.
5. Emergencies
Karaway is not for emergencies.
If you're experiencing a medical emergency — including but not limited to severe pain, sudden numbness or weakness, severe headache unlike any you've had before, difficulty breathing, signs of stroke or heart attack, suicidal thoughts, or any acute crisis — call your local emergency number immediately — 911 in the U.S., 112 in the EU/UK, or your local equivalent — or go to the nearest emergency room.
Do not use Karaway to log, message, or otherwise document an emergency in progress. Get help first.
6. No doctor-patient relationship
Using Karaway or visiting karaway.health does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, or any other healthcare-professional relationship between you and us. We are a software company. We are not licensed to practice medicine, give medical advice, or provide medical services in any jurisdiction.
7. Specific topics, conditions, and medications
If our content mentions specific conditions (such as digestive symptom and GLP-1 side-effect tracking), medications, or treatments — including medication names, dosages, or side effects — it's only for context, education, or to help you record what's relevant to you. We don't endorse, recommend, or prescribe any treatment or medication. Always follow your healthcare provider's guidance.
8. Third-party content
We may quote, link to, or reference third-party sources — such as medical guidelines, research papers, or content from health organizations. We're not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of third-party content. Always verify with a qualified provider.
9. Your responsibility
By using Karaway, you acknowledge that you're responsible for your own health decisions, you'll consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical advice, you won't rely on Karaway for diagnosis, treatment, or emergencies, and any information you enter is for your own use and reference.
10. Contact us
For questions about how Karaway works (not medical questions): Support: support@smart-it.io · General: legal@smart-it.io
For medical questions: contact your healthcare provider. For emergencies: call your local emergency number (911 in the U.S., 112 in the EU/UK, or your local equivalent).
